The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.
Office Information: The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a health and nutrition program with a successful record for improving the diet of infants, children, and pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women who are at risk for nutrition-related illness. The main focus of the WIC program is to educate parents/caregivers on the proper nutrition for babies and young children. In addition to nutrition education, WIC clients also receive breastfeeding support and education, supplemental WIC foods, and referrals to other health and social services.
The City of San Marcos WIC Program employs 23 full time employees to provide services in Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, and Comal Counties.
